HENDERSON — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Wednesday morning inside a home near Powell and Julia streets in Henderson. The incident left 73-year-old James Culver dead and prompted the arrest of 20-year-old Harold “JC” Farmer in connection to the homicide.
According to the Henderson Police Department, officers were dispatched to the residence at approximately 11:50 a.m. on January 21 after receiving reports of gunfire inside the home. Upon arrival, police determined that the shooting may have stemmed from a domestic-related situation.
Inside the home, officers found one individual suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Emergency responders were called, but the man, later identified as James Culver, was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner was called and removed the body from the residence.
