ST. LOUIS, Mo. — A search for a missing person in the St. Louis area ended in tragedy early Wednesday morning when a man was found stabbed to death in the Central West End. Police later identified the victim as Jardyn Walker, a local rapper and reality television figure known by the stage names J Rok Imb and JROK Peewee.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched shortly after 1 a.m. to the 4200 block of Olive Street after University City police traced a missing person’s cellphone signal to that location. Upon arrival, officers discovered Walker unresponsive with a fatal stab wound to his torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Walker had previously been reported missing in University City, and authorities say the discovery was the result of collaboration between University City police and St. Louis officers. Investigators have not released details about suspects or arrests, and the case remains under active investigation.

Well known in the St. Louis area for his involvement in music and reality television, Walker had been gaining recognition in the entertainment world. Performing as J Rok Imb, he appeared on the first season of Two Ways with Erica Mena on the Zeus Network and also auditioned for Bad Boys: Houston.
